What's the website for?
The site is intended as a guide and a resource for the Thirsk & Sowerby area of North Yorkshire, the exact area covered is deliberately left a little vague.

When did it start?
A page or two of information about Knayton, Borrowby and the Hillside parishes appeared on a personal site in mid 1998. By the end of 1998 some Thirsk and Sowerby information was appearing as well. The site has expanded considerably since then.

How many people look at the site?
The site has been receiving over 9000 unique visitors and 35,000 page views a month in 2008.

If it is local, relevant, has acceptable content and it works on most browsers and operating systems we will consider a link, particularly a reciprocal link.
