The Parish of Leake, together with the Parishes of Over Silton, Nether Silton, Cowesby, Kirby Knowle, Felixkirk and Boltby now form a group of parishes, known as the "Hillside Parishes" which also includes Borrowby, Knayton and Upsall.

Funerals

Our condolences to the Rev.Ken Loraine, of Northallerton, on the loss of his wife Joan in mid-October. Ken will be remembered for his “occasional appearances in a Hillside church” during the interregnum.

Oct 22nd. Nether Silton. Rosalind Merrin, 44, who lived in Northallerton but was the daughter of Bill and Margaret Merrin of Brenk House Farm.

November 7th at York Crematorium. Jane Robertson Bowes, 99, who has lived in Easingwold for several years but was originally from Kelmire Grange.

November 12th. Doris Wilkinson, 83, who was living in Leeming Bar but was originally from Paradise Farm. She was buried in the family grave at St.Wilfrid, Kirby Knowle. The funeral service in Northallerton.

May they, and all the departed, Rest in Peace.
